The Song of the strong in the wheelchair

The autumn is crisp and the sky is blue. Five disabled friends from Zhang Ming in the area of Haoxi Community Organization in Nantong City visited the Langshan Scenic spot. The disabled friends took wheelchairs and were pushed by community cadres to Sik Yuan, Langshan Scenic spot, Binjiang Park, Garden Expo Park and other places. Let the disabled witness the great changes in urban and rural areas of reform and opening up at a glance.

Due to the inconvenience of movement, I seldom go out at ordinary times. Nowadays, the changes in my hometown are really great. Zhang Ming, one of the disabled friends, said excitedly.

Zhang Ming, a 20-year-old boy, is full of fantasy when he is young, but he has been plagued by illness for many years. When he was still 10 years old, he remembered that at first he just walked hard, tired easily, and sweated easily, and then it went from bad to worse. It was difficult even to stand, let alone walk independently, but he still clenched his teeth and kept on studying until the fifth grade. But as his condition worsened, the situation took a turn for the worse and he had to drop out of school and stay at home.

The disease Zhang Ming suffers from is called progressive muscular dystrophy in medicine and is difficult to cure clinically. At present, the calf has shrunk, can not stand and walk, can only sit in a wheelchair. During this period, his family took him to Shanghai, Nanjing and Hainan for medical treatment many times, but to no avail. Due to the family's financial difficulties, the family can only use some home-made equipment to give him rehabilitation exercise.

The child is gifted and clever. When I was at school, I successfully studied art for two holidays at the Children's Palace, and achieved remarkable results. Now every day at home in addition to physical exercise, is to draw, especially good at drawing all kinds of animals, so far has created more than 30 works. When we asked him about his most satisfactory work, he told us that it was a bird, because the bird flew freely and carefree. So the birds he painted are full of spirituality, lifelike, very lifelike, as if they were about to come out.

A few days ago, on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Haoxi community cadres also visited Zhang Ming, who was suffering from chronic illness and talent, and sent condolences such as moon cakes, cooking oil, rice and so on. They asked questions with concern and enthusiastically encouraged him to feel at ease and stay optimistic.

Grandpa Zhang Ming also said that Zhang Ming's craftsmanship is also very good. Every model of the plane is comparable to the professionals, not missing every detail, much like the reduced scale of the aviation museum, the paper material looks rich in metal texture, and each piece is shiny and more vivid than the one bought outside. According to him, the model was inspired by the military parade on the 60th anniversary of the National Day.

A 20-year-old child, to bear the pain that ordinary people can not bear, the road of life is still very long, how does he face the severe challenges of life? It is indeed worrying that one cannot help feeling sympathetic and concealed. Yes, fate is too cruel and unfair to him! We felt a pain in our hearts when we saw this situation, and it was very unpleasant. At the same time, we are deeply moved by Zhang Ming's enterprising spirit of continuous self-improvement, taking sister Zhang Haidi as an example in the face of adversity and hardship in life.

He longed for school life and envied the lively classmates on the field, but as he grew older and heavier, his grandfather could no longer carry him downstairs. Every comrade present was moved and deeply touched by the fulfillment of his little old wish.

Adversity increases wisdom, but hardship makes you become. Dead ashes can still live, unable to swallow. We sincerely wish Zhang Ming an early recovery, continuous self-improvement to overcome the disease and live a normal life. The community will try its best to visit him often and try to hold an exhibition of his works in the New year, so that the whole community can know him and help him.
