Guard childhood and never forget the original ideal and ambition

What is children's literature? Some people say that children's literature is the literature that lays the foundation for the future. There are also people who compare children's literature writers to people who light lamps. They light up children's hearts with the light of truth, goodness and beauty. No matter how it is compared, it is obvious that children's literature is the earliest literature that children come into contact with in childhood. Everything in life starts from childhood, and the quality and style of children's literature will have an impact on a child's life.

Because children's literature has such a far-reaching influence, people who write for children must first have love, so children's literature is also called love literature. He should not only love his children, but also love life. His works should not only have superb artistic skills, but also full of enthusiasm and appeal. This enthusiasm and appeal does not mean that he should write a hot story. It does not mean that every story should have a happy ending, telling the children that they have lived happily ever after. But even a sad or even cruel story, do not let children lose their love of life and confidence in people. I think this is very important to the writer of children's literature, even more important than his artistic skills. This is also a difficult problem for writers of children's literature. Although there should be no taboos in writing, when dealing with certain subjects, children's literature writers can not only write their own anger or write the truth of life, but also need to have a choice, or even need a little white lie. For example, to write about childhood trauma, or even children's sense of abandonment, in Zhang ailing's writings, we can write about an abnormal mother, Cao Qiqiao, but children's literature writers should not be like this. Lin Liang, a leading figure in Taiwan's children's literature, once said that writing poetry for children must take care of three conditions: first, it should conform to the nature of poetry; second, it should be suitable for children's appreciation; and third, it should be concerned about the impact of works on children.

He also cited a poem as an example:

midnight,

Dad came back from playing cards.

My mother was crying and screaming.

Later, Dad agreed to kneel on the abacus.

Mom quieted down.

Dad! dad!

Mom told you to kneel till dawn.

Can your knee stand it?

He believes that although the poem is written in the tone of a child to make some parents reflect, the image of parents has been vilified, and it is obviously easy to hurt children's feelings of loving their parents. Although Mr. Lin Liang is talking about children's poetry, it is suitable for all children's literature. I once had a fairy tale, the Donkey Family, about children's doubts about their parents' love, but in the end I let family affection and love complete redemption. In the children's novel Pearl, I finally made Yoko, who was full of hatred for his parents and grandma, accept and forgive his parents and family. I want my children to understand that they can't grow up without pain, and that there is no future without forgiveness.

Today's children seem to be rich and spoiled, but in fact their childhood is not really happy. Environmental pollution, food safety and integrity crisis will affect children, and many children will encounter domestic violence and school violence. The heavy burden of schoolwork weighed down the children. The problem of left-behind children in remote areas and the problem that nutritious meals cannot really nourish children are all worrying. Children are weak, they can't make their own voice. Writers of children's literature also have the responsibility to appeal on their behalf. Therefore, in recent years, in addition to writing, I have also written a number of suggestions or proposals, such as "Children's Rights", "how can dreams bridge the gap", "Life is higher than 100 points", and so on, all of which are related to the issue of left-behind children and educational equity. Even if the voice of the appeal is weak, it represents the position of a children's literature writer, and it is also the responsibility of an adult who cares for children.

In addition to love, it should be the duty of a writer to adhere to the consciousness of literature. Literature is a high-quality creative activity, which uses ordinary language to create a refreshing art world. As the British writer Conrad said: art is a kind of desire to find their main things from the forms, colors, lights and shadows of the world, from the phenomena of things and the realities of life. the lasting and fundamental things they are the only features that can be seen and believed by people. To achieve such a desire, a writer must strive to achieve the shape of sculpture, to achieve the color of painting, to achieve the highest kind of art, that is, the magic that music can stimulate association. Only by resolutely and thoroughly devoting ourselves to the integration of form and content, and paying attention to the structure and tone of words without slackness and discouragement, can we approach the beauty of shape and color, and force people to be abused at will for thousands of years. as a result, the old words, which are worn out of edges and corners, flash the brilliance of magical association in the mediocre literal for the time being. The reason why every writer is addicted to writing is that there is a smile on his face after reading the works he has finally written after a long night of loneliness, precisely because this creative activity is so charming and challenging. The peak of literature will never end, and it may be impossible to reach it after a lifetime of effort. But this is also the charm of literary creation.

In the past ten years, Chinese children's literature has entered a golden age. Our generation of writers are lucky enough to catch up with this era. The so-called golden age does not mean that there are many writers and works, but that the market demand is huge. Due to the continuous support of the party and government for children's literature and the beginning of the formation of the middle class in China, society and families pay more and more attention to children's reading. At present, with the shrinking mass publishing, the section of children's literature continues to rise. Chinese children's literature, which has always been regarded as pediatrics, takes the lead in the book market, and the status of children's literature writers has been greatly improved. Because of the huge market demand and limited resources for publishing children's books, many writers often turn the materials of the original book into several books and develop a successful book into a set of books under the influence of the market. This kind of writing not only brings rich economic returns to publishers and writers, but also has little to say in the exploration and innovation of literature. Some writers only rely on their skills to write, make up stories at will, and lack real feelings. As Xi Jinping said at the symposium on literature and art: the highest state of art is to make people moved. Literature and art cannot be slaves to the market. How can people be moved by works without real feelings? Literature for children, in particular, requires writers to invest more personal emotion and life experience, more dedicated artistic management, and the integration of childishness and literature. only in this way can children enjoy the joy of reading and get the enlightenment of truth, goodness and beauty, expand the space of their hearts, learn to discover the beauty of life and appreciate the unique charm of Chinese language. At the beginning of our writing, each of our writers may have immature creative skills, but they have real life accumulation and sincere humanistic feelings. It is this sincerity that makes the works shine. A person who writes for his children should never forget his original ideals and aspirations and guard his innocent childhood with sincere and beautiful works. Enrich the art hall of children's literature with carefully polished works.
