Be a hard worker

Once, at a party I attended, the host asked a little boy: what kind of person are you going to be when you grow up? Kids look at us entrepreneurs and say: be entrepreneurs. The people present suddenly laughed and applauded. I clapped my hands, too, but it didn't sound comfortable. I think, how much does the child know about the enterprise? Did he say he wanted to be an entrepreneur in front of us? Was he influenced by adults to think that entrepreneurs only want to be entrepreneurs because they are all rich?

All this is, of course, a mystery. But in any case, as a person's ambition in life, I think it doesn't matter what to be; no matter who it is, the most important thing is to be a hard worker from an early age.

I was asked the same question when I was a child, and my answer was nothing more than being a teacher, a people's Liberation Army and a scientist. More than 20 years have passed in the twinkling of an eye, and the children at that time are now adults in their early forties. But if you think about it carefully, none of the aspirations I expressed my love to the adults at that time have actually been realized. The same is true of other people around me. Some wanted to be teachers, but later became self-employed; for those who wanted to be in the people's Liberation Army, some became prisoners. When I was in college, I had two classmates and friends. They are now talented people in China's electronics industry. One has grown up to be the boss of Konka Group, and the other leads TCL Group. The three of us unexpectedly became the operators of the backbone enterprises of Chinese color televisions, but no matter how imaginative we were when we graduated from university, we dared not imagine what we would be like more than a decade later. Everything is achieved step by step in the course of our struggle. We are not so much people with ideals as people who have been working hard.

It is not that we do not attach importance to ideals, but because ambition is easy, but it is difficult to work for ideals. Life has been like this since ancient times. Who would have thought that more than a decade ago today, I was a person wandering in the street and worrying about survival? At that time, I had nothing and my future was bleak. I really didn't know where the road was. However, I was not discouraged. In retrospect, it was my will and character that supported me through these bumpy years. When many people think that I am dead, I am still trying to get up from the ground. I firmly believe that life is like Maradona playing football, often "scoring" to get life when I am about to fall. As a matter of fact, at a time when "there seems to be no way out", the closure of an enterprise in Hong Kong gave me the opportunity to make a comeback, enabling me to cooperate with British scientists and technicians who mastered the latest technology in the world. develop technologically advanced color televisions and get out of trouble.

Some people say that "hard work" and "owning" are two landscapes of life, one left and one right. But I think that the most beautiful scenery in life should be hard work. Effort is a kind of mental state of life and a kind of nakedness to life. Effort is the mother of possession, and possession is the son of effort. Dedicated efforts can be described as all roads lead to Rome, just want to get the road is narrow, the world is narrow. Therefore, instead of stipulating what kind of person you must be and what you must get, it is better to hone yourself to make an effort. No matter how high the ambition is, if there is no effort, it will be difficult to stick to it; there is no lofty goal, because if you work hard, you will find the direction of struggle. To be a hardworking person, it can be said that the most practical goal in life is the greatest realm of life.

Many people become frustrated because they set too high and utilitarian goals for themselves, and end up frustrated because it is difficult to succeed. The reason is often because they pay too much attention to owning and ignore those who make efforts. For today's children, if we only focus on what kind of characters they should be in the future, and do not put forward the quality of will as a goal of being a human being, we can only cultivate people who are narrow, selfish, fragile and low in realm. Unfortunately, we have not done very well in this respect.
